Rogart is a scattered crofting community spread along a quiet Sutherland strath, its homes and smallholdings dotted across the hillsides in classic Highland fashion. Renovation and agricultural work here generate a steady run of heavy waste.

For the rubble, concrete and soil that building and landscaping throw up, the 8-yard inert skip is the right tool. It takes brick, concrete, rubble, hardcore, soil, gravel, ceramics, tiles and glass within a 6-tonne limit, but not wood, metal, plasterboard, plastics or bagged waste. It comes as a standard open skip or with a drop door, which gives ground-level wheelbarrow access for loading heavy material.

Mixed clearances suit the 8-yard municipal skip, which pairs an open top for bulky items with a broad accepted list: black bags, wood, metal, plastics, glass, ceramics, tiles and the heavier brick, concrete, rubble, soil and gravel, all within 6 tonnes. Keep plasterboard out and it will handle the rest.

For volume without weight, reach for the 14-yard enclosed municipal skip. Fully enclosed and secure, it handles black bags, wood, metal, plasterboard, ceramics and glass within a 6-tonne limit and is the only skip in the range to accept plasterboard. It’s not designed for heavy material, so brick, concrete, rubble, soil, gravel, tiles and plastics belong in one of the 8-yard options.

Pat Munro Waste operates from two depots, at Inverness and Alness, both within comfortable reach of Rogart, so we can usually arrange delivery to suit your schedule. Call 01463 336080 or book online and we’ll sort the right skip.
